Hi,

I have installed my old vb5 learning edition and the visual books online
displays a runtime error. The error is the following: Runtime error:
3445. An incorrect version of the dll file: msjet 3.5.dll have been found.

What version of the msjet 35.dll is needed by the visual books online to
run properly? I have this software since a very long time and this is the
first time that the application shows a runtime error 3445 in the last 13
years.

I have tried to uninstall the visual books online.exe and reinstall it
but that doesn't work.

I have look at Microsoft dll help database but the application has been
retired and from now on is not accessible.

OS: Win2K service pack 4
Updates: all the available updates are installed on the system.

on win 2k. Strange. This is why that vbonline.exe didn't start and trows me
that error. The files on the cd are the original one. I found the correct
version of the msjet35.dll on the vs6 pro cd.

Why is that strange? VB5 came out in 1997, approximately 2 years before
Windows 2000.

This is why that vbonline.exe didn't start and trows me

version of the msjet35.dll on the vs6 pro cd.

Just a case of "DLL Hell", I guess. Apparently you got it sorted out though.
